Samuel and two rotten eggs.

1 Samuel has a lot of meat and theology. The beginning has the components of a faithful women who loves and obeys the Lord.Hannah comes year after year with her husband Elkanah. Now the other part of the story is that Elkanah has two wives. In that culture, multiple wives was the norm. His other wife was able to have children. Elkanah being the good husband he was, asked am I not enough? In a sense ,he was asking are you not satisfied with what you have? Maybe we can do that in our own lives. Have it all together , but there is something more we want. Hannah wanted a son. We are allowed to desire things in our life. God is faithful and wants to see these desires come to pass. I know for my own life I have seen the Lord bless and provide the desires of my heart. Hannah cries out to God asking for a son and Eli sees her crying out. He thought she was drunk , but her desire went pass words , but of extreme yearn. What is your your action for a desire you want to come to pass in your life? Maybe a something as simple as a good day or a college experience that will impact your education for a better job opportunity, or even a child of your own. God will give it.Psalm 37:4Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart

Community Leader Interview

Barry Knight is a Delegate for the state of Virginia. He grew up in Va Beach in a place called Pungo. I grew up there. His son went to my parents Christian school called Back Bay Academy. SO when he got elected he had my dad pray at his opening speech for taking the position  in our capital Richmond,Va. During election time our Church is used for a voting station. So the night he got elected I got to see him and he ask me to thank my dad again for letting us use the church building and being a support in the community for him. He goes to a baptist church four miles south of us. A cool fact its the 7th oldest church in America. He has a lot of family that have been apart of that for years as one can imagine. He has been apart of helping Va Beach a better family place and making sure business get treated fairly. He loves the area where he serves and wants the area to be successful in all avenues. He is a great man and good politician. He loves his family and works hard.

New Christian Blog

At my youth group a younger guy in middle school got saved last semester. He grew in a non-christian home and really knew nothing about Christianity, but God had a different plan for him. I did not get to see the life transformation of his beginning walk I saw him in December during Christmas break. The pastor has mentored him from day one. So I started talking to him and he was pumped about reading the Bible everyday and the ride home from youth with one of the youth leaders they talk about God. His hunger is evident. Every week at youth they have altar calls I remember them when I attended youth God is still leading a generation that his hungry for his presence and he his getting fed truth and the Amazing work of the Holy Spirit. So growing up in a family that does not live for God is his most challenge. The most important way to grow is to serve and stay connected in the house of God. An endless pursuit of Gods presence can never dry. So I am glad to see him meet the Lord and know him like this.

Gil Trusty, Philadelphia Calvary Chapel

Gil grew up in west Philly tom and Gil went to high school together.Gil family background born and raised at age 14 got saved. father Philly police officer Mom worked for Gera. Mother was a believer. he went to all the vacation Bible school in the area learning scriptures. He went to all the camps and prayed all prayers but at age 14 God so loved him and saved him. March 1. In the back of the movies and got a stirring to leave and found himself in a prayer meeting. Today is a day where he is finally seeing all his friends from school are now saved.Gods word does not return void. He was at his senior class and he has started praying for them and Giving God glory for his friends saved. He went to Temple Christmas break talking about life and he was talking about Temple he thought he was going to into Medicine. He thought he was going to have two children and make 6 figures. But that was not it at all. After the first semester of Temple he visited VFCC and the meal was great came for his sophomore year. His dad was against his faith. When his dad took him to school his dad saw how vfcc was former army base and it was the first time his dad hugged him. He was the president of missions and valedictorian People loved him and respected him here. After graduation he got credential in New Jersey in cherry hill. Don't want to say you went to bible college and far away from the Lord. He had so little relationship with God. He saw spiritual pride come in and left the AG. He went into a 4 year shepherding and legalism and he his name was mudd. Gil is being interviewed on tv railing his belief. Tom rove done to talk and help him. Gil appreciate Friends even though he was whack God still blessed him and got a hold of him. He wanted success but realized we are called to be faithful. God cares about the individual he is always trying to reach them. We need to stop measuring success with the world measurements. His three years at the farm were whack. Dont pray because of I have to instead pray because i get to. We need love for ministry. He bought a farm of 300 acres and made a christian community. How did he got out of bad living. He ignored promptings of the Holy Spirit during this stuff. His son died at 3 months old. Started working with a tree planting company. He started sharing Jesus to the foremen and by this he started seeing the corruption of his belief system. The more he got to love Jesus the more he loved his wife and children. And God started to heal his hurts with his oil and wine to heal the wounds. He was confirmed that he himself never stopped loving Jesus. Never to late for a new beginning a book Mr. Cardone sr. gave him. God has a plan even when we mess up. There is a God and grace he will use us. He loves the word of God!!!!!!! He is the Junior high pastor, a calling, to serve as Pastor. Its a high bar they put themselves on. L3 Learn Jesus, Live Jesus, Love Jesus.

I did a Church rater.

I went to a church in Downington.

Final Project

This year I got participate in Penndels youth convention. This year theme was compelled. My part that I played in was helping the media department. I had to pack the trailer and get all the the gear ready for the cameras and video world as they call to control and send the commands that the director gives. I enjoyed all the work we had to do to prepare to make the convention happen. We made the bells and whistles of the services happen. Without the work of the guys make videos and working the cameras, the extra element of the visual part of the way we communicate the gospel would not be there with out the media team. I love the Penndel district I feel at home here and the things God has given opportunity to serve has been past my understanding and control. God has blessed me there to be here at this in is will. I also had the privilege to hold all the receipts for the department. Its a big deal to hold them so that the spending can be accurately accounted for. I made a lot crimps for the cameras cables. During the service I had to do a quick fix here and there. The crowd made that a fun task trying to concentrate working on the gear. I also did the dolly pull working on pan shots of the crowd and stage. It took two people to operate this and the camera. While the crowd was praising and jumping our main focus was to capture the moment of the experience the youth were having. I can only step back in awe of who God is and the love he had for the 7000 students represent their home and family life. To be apart of this ministry has stretched me and has blessed me tremendously.  I love blessing the people and youth that need Jesus. It is exciting to be part of the work of the Lord.

true church

work hard do not expect to be waited on pew service recognition. Our wives makes us . Be loyal to your senior pastor. serve people. when you are dead right you are wrong. Learn to wash people feet. Don't be a cry baby. When you re a person of integrity and a hard a worker God will give you the desires of your heart. God knows you so intricately . the staff should be the last people leaving. People don't have to be at your church. Show them your respect. When people are there talk to them. Be there early. Be ready to talk with people. As a pastor hire to your weaknesses. Visionary at the top. Managers manage. Need a lot of managers. Visionaries always at the top.

Dan miller Back Mountain Harvest Assembly Trucksville, pa

Brain of the Rock Recreation Center. He does ministry outreach off the wall. Grew up in central Pa grew up in a Christian home he lived in a leave it to beaver home. At 5 God appear to him in vision and dreams that he would preach. God showed him true preachers and was prophesied over a lot. Going into the ministry. Married at age 19 and wife 2 weeks 18. Helped start a church. did burean online. work with pastor glen white. He learned from him he was traditional. He was low key. He learned even when never go against a man of God if you cannot serve you cannot lead. He was there to help his pastor. Had to deal with a group that wanted to overthrow his senior pastor. Always serve your pastor even though if he was wrong. Trucksville is quite the prestigious place. Go to this chuch with 16  people and ask people to  leave. You are not going to keep everyone. His vision would be hard for the people so he told the people to go another church. for his vision would not fit them. Be willing to put people in a church that would fit them. Act like we are one church. If i grow you grow. Early growth from 15 to 50? Most pastors are insecure. Which lacks letting them have vision. Work yourself out of a job. If someone has a preachers itch let them preach. Fresh vision if you have an idea lets use them. If people tell you it was better with out they are doing a great job. Untie peoples hand and let them do ministry. People follow vision. Ideas that grow the church. 1/3 of the people in your church let them be sinners. Get people involved in the community. do not be offended with unsaved people around. So they will get saved. If you fall you have not been taught much. Most churches are seen as taken from the community so if it is Gods will its Gods bill. Sunday morning is 650. Church shouldn't be a member service about the sick in the community. His church bought a swim club. The Jewish people go there and its a private club. Its all about the community. People wont come through the doors we have to get them. Its not about us but about those to become like us. The Church is to add value to the community. About those who are not us yet. They make connections with people in the community. His church does fireworks and medical care for free. TO change your culture you have to be part of the culture. They are part of the education, sports and many other stuff. Its always about the community and he hangs out with non christians. If Jesus is the center of you we must work together. prayer does not cost me anything but loving and helping others does it makes a different. We have to be one ! The body of Christ all together.

—Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos, Freedom Valley Worship Center

Pastor in Gettysburg ,Pa. He left his Church of 10 years of staff and left the amish. When he was 16 he started questioned why people did not get saved a church of being amish and he did not agree to rules. He wanted to be at a church that was aggressive for God and wanted people to get saved. So he left and went to passionate church. Pastor Omar was a great mentor and friend to him. They talked ministry about doctrine and you learn more unttentioally he learned more about ministry doing it. So pastor Omar left to the soviet union, and the church he was at told him to go away. He had vision to go to philly and plant a church. He went there 6 months everyday straight. 3 find a growing community and conceive a job to to support his family. He thinks teens are never to young to be leaders. Push kids to leadership. TO develop world changers. The great churches are pastor by the sons. His son felt led to plant a church and he has a core group of people that preaches too. Churches that fight the culture get in trouble. He really respects Joel Osteen. He respects them He understands the unchurched and knows how to reach them. We need to celebrate growing churches. Jesus says it is the fruit that matters. He ends up in Gettysburg Jeff Kettering called that he planned to plant a church. He did not want to go but spoke to them about Gerry to plant a Church in Gettysburg. So Jeff asked him to go see and visit Gettysburg. He walked into a room of 8 business dressed men. He knew they were.at that time he thought the AG was dead and needed to repent of the deadliness. The men said we like Jesus and they wanted to talk so they said you can talk or take a $100 for his troubles. They were very humble and decided to talk. SO after the meeting he drove around the area checking it out. While driving around the area his wife spoke and said she saw their family about the house they live in. So the house went on the market in three days and so he called them and two to three weeks later God gave them money to buy for the down payment. The guy he bought the house and bought a long term sales agreement. The lawyer thought it was stupid. The document became a 17 page agreement. He did everything wrong church planting but God blessed him. Last week they had 1250 in attendance. Wrote a book called 83 sheep. Study done that verify 83% Americans lowest Church attendance. The study was not not done in the north east. ARDA. 83 out of 100 people do not know Jesus. He is a passionate Guy that Loves God and an urgency to win people and plant churches for God. We have to win the CULTURE!!!!! God use me please! I dont wont to regret one moment in this life time for you to build this church your kingdom have your way I MEAN it!I so do Holy Spirit I want more of you I cant stop I am all for you.I love you God! The goofiest idea for ministry raffle a motorcycle and he had to get a gaming license to do it or get arrested. He owned a tattoo parlor. 50 kids were in the parlor and kids got saved. He bought it personally. A lot of kids got saved. thats one more crazy thing they did. Brandy grecgo they are a church about people that have given up on Church. Isn't that interesting people are walking out of CHurch. They needed to reach people who had given up on Church. They ignore people who come from other churches. He has shining stars ministry helping the handicap with riding on horses. He was on night-line for an episode for speaking in tongues. So cool.

Rest easy.

As I look at my life and all the the different events that have taken place. One thing I have noticed, about God. All through the years God has showed himself to me in many ways and times. Each planting that that he cares and he has my life being prepared for eternity. Some of the most re-memorable moments were at his altar. The altar is usually in the front of the church and where its the platform where the worship teams stands on and the pastor speaks off of.From the earliest age that I can remember God always spoke there, he can speak anywhere he chooses and I have had those experiences too, but in those times his presence and Holy Spirit have had an impression that burned deep of the true character of wanting to get to know me. When our hearts are searching, seeking, and simply wanting to know who he is, he comes. He is a good God. Personal and relationship oriented. If you 're asking who and what does it take to know him, just believe. Romans 5:1-3 says1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. This hope is not gained by works , but faith. Nothing you can do could keep him away from loving you! As humans living in a fallen world and sinful nature, God had to send his only son ,so by his gift of forgiveness we can come boldly to his throne into his presence. Rest easy today knowing God is for you.

Pastor Steve Trader Trinity Community Church TrinitychurchDE.com

Pastor in Hockessin Delaware. grew up in a CHristian family. Parents were Church planters. From a Baptist perspective. He became a christ follower at 15 and messed around then fully committed at 21 to Christ. Worked 24 years as a Pharmacy. His major is in business management. THen went to wideners to night school. He pushes his staff to get their masters and pays for it. became a drafts men for an engineer corporation. He was a supervisor and directed 82 people with 6 other directors for purchasing and funny thing he had to buy fruit and vegetables. The monkeys he bought for did not like giants bananas and had to but them organic bananas. He spent 100 million year in business advertising. He surrounds himself with better people then he is in the business world and the Church. He always felt comfortable with better qualified people because he was sin Gods will. He is accountable with his good friends and pastors when traveling for a long period of time when on business trips.HR part cannot always tell people the truth in reorganization of a company out sourcing. Dealing with people having there jobs is hard. Its hard to tell people when there job is about to be taken away from them. Letting people go or firing someone is hard to do if they do not fit the organization then its hard. He was very involved with the Church. He was on the board, treasurer, interim pastor for a very good reason. He did everything. He wanted to get a master degree from AGTS. He jumped in Berea n school of ministry. God is working in his heart and his job was getting better and his call was growing stronger and stronger  while things were getting better. The difference is what you are good at and what you are called to do. SO he took the right steps to make sure he doing what God called him to do. He gave up a lot of stuff. Saturday July 2005 he saw a path way to get out and start the Church. He got 4 or 5 couples and fasted and sought Gods face and they are part of the core group they have now that started the church. His wife is a trooper and it takes both a husband a and wife to do ministry. He thought about planting a church in a suburb area.  So he thought about stating the church where he lived. Where he decided , a place where he has credibility to build a church. He is in the DNA. One thing that he they thought was what to name his Church, which is called Trinity. The area has money and deeply catholic. Trinity was one of his last names he thought about. The name is Trinity is one word that people from all denominations agreed with. 7 families went with him to start the church solid people youth workers, children workers and board members. It has a better  chance of survival when people are committed. You should not fail when people are solid and the pastor has to be a harder worker to smarter. You cannot spend enough time what  church should look like and practiced for three months how to be smart. Takes better Be our guest book about first impressions. First impressions is important about being friendly. Every weekend they go through training with core team and trouble shooting. Outreach and disciple programs. 30 people left a pretty good size position to grow. There pressure to grow. Stay away from going up to peoples doors to put hangers on there doors. radio doesn't work. Made it so comfortable to people to come and friendly for people to come. They brought friends for a free meal on Sunday night. Their budget has to be good for hospitality. If someone came twice they took people out to dinner. They made it a big deal with people to eat with people to hang out with people every week. His kids are amazing !! Twice a month they have a time of fellowship and discipleship grew out of it. and kids connects small groups grew out of it. They have a lot a signs around and the website has to be good. Signs word of mouth. People come because people brought them. They have a visitor cards they have three or four small groups for both men and women. People in the area have money and they buy prescription drugs. His wife and he have a marriage small groups. Strategic couple they think about it. How do you preach to them? He tries to use life situation in relevancy and issues to talk to him. Teach things explain in ways they understand. He doesn't try to make people feel guilty that are catholic. They would do communion on the side for former catholics. He uses videos , movie clips, altar calls bow your head so they have to remind the people of the vision of why they are the church and why they are who they are. You have to know who you are and be that. The Well , a place where Trinity can have its foot print during the week. The use it as a coffee house and a produce market. You have to have a wife that will help people feel welcomed and help have energy to make people feel comfortable. When they turned the key to give to missions God has honored that so much. What is the biggest surprise to you? He can go back to work and people will be like you are done with mid life crisis. Ministry is one the hardest things he has done in his life, then starting this Church. Its the difference of what you are called to be and what a job is. You never feel off/his feeling. He is learning to build different boundaries. He loves his two daughters and wife is such a great pastors wife. She has her identity outside the church. He was an amazing man to listen to.

This past post view of me interviewing someone who not a believer.

This was a hard blog to write because of the situation.

Unbeliever Blog

1. Philosophy , science, and arts. Like albert camus . Physics and quantum psi phenomena.
2. People are to busy to be interested in that sort of thing not a culture norm it used to be.
3.intellectual stimulating to the mind logic in a search for truth.
4. Relevant to where people are and answer questions. How can we improve? education be willing to admit when you do not know things.
5. Whats your personal belief system? Agnostic
6. what your view how to get to heaven? Not sure if there is a heaven struggle to believe there is a hell and God.
7.what good comes out of Christianity ? personal reflection. inspires to help humanity
8. why should people even attend CHurch? Its a part of their religious belief.
9. DO you think a Christian is any like anybody else? Yes
10.What is perfect truth? An accurate description of reality. Does not know what it looks like.
This blog was hard for me to write. The person did not know that, but he was a Christian last year and now  he is struggling and does not no what to think about God. He is pursuing knowledge and feels like we play with our emotions its based on emotional response. So next before we hype up youth or a big event lets use our heads too.

Curt Seaburg Victory Church Lancaster, PA

Men of Iron ministry. Mentor protégé its a back bone for his church.

Curt Seaburg Victory Church Lancaster, PA

Has a church in Victory, flew over the city he pastors to pray over it. Grew up in a Christian home.
He was 16 when his dad got saved. he was drugged to church when ever the church doors were open. Grew up in New York upstate. 1985 met his wife PAm. He graduated Zion started a youth group, ephuarata
Went to VFCC for classes. Went to a church where they had to wear ties. He says he has not learned stuff that was applicable from going to school. his first lesson was he was not as smart as thought he was. He hire for chemistry ,character ,and confidence. He started cocky and thought he knew more than he knew. He was very about competitive everything. His first senior pastor was 20 years apart. Two different generations of pastorship. They had to walk down center isle of the church when service started. The pastor gave him a chance a shot to be his youth pastor. The pastor apologized about some stuff in the past. How did he cope and not get bitter in ministry. 10 % that started ministry from the beginning that are 65.They are a lot of Church politics. We don't celebrate it. He coped very naive. He did not think twice about some of the ways he was treated. He is very optimistic and forward minded. You got to realize its not all about you. You can still learn a lot every day . Take every situation and learn from it. He followed through every time even if he did not dis agree with it. different flavors can be good. When do you know it was time to leave your first church. HAd close key people that spoke in his life. So he went to Dover , Delaware. To be a youth pastor. The pastor told him to do want you want to do. the church grew over a thousand. the stupidest thing he ever did. He took over 200 students to a grave yard and they are doing a bunch of activities. a women morning over her son put them in the newspaper and told learned a a lesson and his senior pastor told him to keep moving. He went Canada for three months and was fried. When you run and run and run with out boundaries. You fry. It fueled him to do so much but it drew him away from his kids. His wife was taken care of his kids. Canada second largest youth ministry and He realized that ministry took its tole. He resigned to make a statement to his wife so they would grow stronger. Pam his wife told PC do you think we will ever get back in the ministry he said God knows our mail address. SO he went to New Life to be youth pastors. It was about 300 people to 1200 people. It was a big church in Lancaster. When the light is on come to the house but when the light is on you can come in and talk. The outreach easter drive through. Build twelve life size scenes where 3 cars at a time would go through life size scenes of Christ 3000 cars would go through. People involved will start a Church to grow. It put the church on the map. Tom Kiniath could preach and   bought a bus 21 passenger. got for 4 hundred and it not have no brakes down a hill. Then they bought two busses. Bought a bus with out the board knowing. This when Brownsville revival was going on. DO not burn bridges everything is relational. Navigate the personal level you have. Dont get to close.Leave honorably. Peacemaker book off of Amazon. If feels like he has the support of the team he can do anything. learn to let go of each season. Enter each season in your life like its your favorite. the way you end one season is the way you will enter the next season. Read the Bible to know the character of God. Do not live in the past. Moves to Florida to a 1200 member church grew to 5000. from 4 people on staff to 13 people. Bought a PT cruiser before it came out. They would pick up kids in it. They were there for 7 years. He was the main worship leader too. The worship was youthful and it brought people into church. the pastor was forward thinking. Their kid pastors and ministry was awesome. they did a lot of outreach center. They built a dream center. The south is segregated because of income they reached the lower income families to help them out. they tutored kids. They moved back up here. The youth group grew to 700 hundred kids. Hired a associate pastor administrator, youth pastor for high school, and worship pastor for the kids. 2004 they moved up to Victory church as executive pastors and worship leaders. Structure is very important to PC. We are in the Lords hands. SO do not worry.

dave Kennard pastor at Riverside, Oakmont, PA with his crew.

Terminology instead of using christian ,Christ follower, trust in Christ, seek a relationship with him. Very intentional to speak in a way that no one knows what they are talking about. Explain before the worship what they will see and have to do in detail. They do not assume if people know customs like raising hands and clapping hands. After meet in greet sit down. Tell them where the kids are. If people ask a deep question they ask them to wait until the end or schedule an appointment to help them with there questions.

Dave Kennard pastor at Riverside, Oakmont, PA with his crew.

Exciting stuff to what God is going to do here tonight. A whole team of pastors that have heart for there area and host a multi-site church of two locations. MAin focus of small groups, Up bringing grew up in methodist pastor home . went to missouri state and AGTS. Saw he was a fixer so he did not becoming a counselor and became a pastor. Leading from the second chair. This was form seeing his dad worked to death so he does the administration and comes alongside a visionary pastor to help with the big picture. Was a pastor at James river AG in Springfield, MO. On the staff four years. Brand newly marry and was the youth administrator a busy pace. What he love about JR experience he love the jazz of a thousand students come and get ready to see the teens come to the church. This methodology worked. Most frustating experience low pay and intense 60 hours a week making 18000 a year. They left because of money. Most important lesson learned saw scotty gibbons stay so loyal to the senior pastor. He has been there 17 years. Ended up at Oakmont from  a friend.  10 months in waiting for a position. At a altar event heard God says time is up. His wife is said the same thing. Monty Hip Said the same thing.Starting looking all over the nation. Hs low point was when he was asked to.Prayed God what is it what you want me to learn? He needed to pray for the person moving on else where. After three conformations he thought he would have been going to a place in three months. God had to do something in his heart. A one residency helps and looks good on a resume. Titles are just as good as pay. You cannot steer a sitting wheel barrow. Give your resume to everyone you know.Visit the church even before the interview. See what they are about. Ended up at Oakmont. His senior pastor is a visionary starts things and vision and dream to lead. get things going and he finishes them. His staff has a long term blessing of staying there. They all have strengths they use in spite of their weaknesses hangout with each other and go to their homes and play racket ball with each other. Lead form a position of strength do not share weakness in sermons. Lead from a leadership of weakness and people will go further with them then a strength show. Dark side of leadership book. He is a Type A out going guy. Control freak question the how verses wow. Need to get dreamers to more and hows at the right time. Do not procrastinate work by feeling right just get it done. Learn give people space to do their part. Be committed to excellence. Two things
Costume parade giving out candy.
Missional go to the them meet them where they are at vs attractive consumer aspect

Rent price at the mall $6000 a month. They have a video site.
stream box sending video through internet to the mills.
Bumper video to video. Red flag he has to preach yellow he has stall green is a go.
Free market small group. Come into a stetting 8-12 people share together have snacks sing a song then for an hour studying the word of God.
Using small groups as an evangelism tool. People get together do what they are passionate about and do it together.

Steve defrane jr.and Donnie

God I want to stay out of the way of what you are doing. I want to stay out of the way and God you keep doing what you are doing and send people to him like that need you to come.Keep pride and arrogance out of my life. Give us wisdom what to do.

Steve defrane jr.and Donnie

He grow up in Church. His dad pastors morning star Church. Went to SAGU youth pastor in Oklahoma for four years. He did not go to school for ministry until his last year at college at age 21. GRowing up at church did not me any favors. The church people are mean. His parents help protect him. He had to get away from the church to find God get saved and felt his call. He felt like he was called at age 18 in some sort of ministry. He got involved at a church as a janitor and loved church and the church he was at. He was children/ junior high pastor. He really enjoyed it. He did like the traditional church because of the fights with music and dress wear. He also went to life church. Life tv church did everything in excellence. From the way they did kids ministry to the greetings to the signs they made. They lit a fire in him to do church better. His dad ask him to start a young adults service and it went horrible. The tipping point was at Sunday morning in the youth room. He met 25 Mennonite people and they gave him a building and 7 acres of land, so he stayed and renovated the building. In limerick PA he comes from a traditional church and a traditional church gave him their building. A building in a local setting is a blessing. Donnie was a hometown drunk left his wife and baseball coach. God grabbed him and he got saved in Virginia. After getting saved the addictions left him. He did not struggle from that day on. He went to recovery group. A few months later attending Journey got saved and went back to his wife God restored his marriage and he moved her back in in Valentines day from his In laws house. Six months later his wife got saved and baptized. He now is the campus pastor in Phoenixville PA. He does everything os the main pastor can come and he got  has his back. How did he grow? Talked about Jesus. With out the religious talk. His heart changed and behavior. His identity is in Jesus. His testimony lit a fire in the pastor. Only person that is a win is a person who meets Jesus. If you get saved grow serving getting and become a fanatic. That one sinner impresses Jesus. A Church should be a blessing to a community not a burden. Church should not ask for stuff , but bless a Church. Christmas Eve service was done different. Other than a candle light they has Santa playing the organ until start service starts. He has 3 services in Limerick and one in Phoenixville.

craig groeschel

Tonight we watched Craig Groeschel in class. He is pastor of Lifechurch.tv. He has over 22000 people in his congregation with multi-sited locations and the services are broadcasted 50 times in one week. He is recorded and live worship is streamed on line. Many people are touched by his ministry. His Church is founded in Oklahoma. He has a young adult audience and is in touch with the culture. He preaches at many conferences and goes to all over to preach in churches in the world. It was cool to watch it online in class to see it in a class room setting. There was a chat room and a host that monitored it to make sure clean things were written on it. It was a great experience to see. I have seen many churches do this and I think it is okay to tape and broadcast services live. It covers and gets more locations to hear the same vision and word the pastor has for the Church.

Learn to smile experiment.

This week we had a challenge as a class to smile and look people in the eye to let them know you are a caring person on campus. People whether or not they respond, it allows a seed to be planted in the technological world to have face to face conversation. It is wise to stay up with networking , but the fact is we are people and we need to interact with them in person. Lets not get stuck in an online and become a fein that is not personal. The world wants relationships, not made up superficial quality relationships that chew and taste like plastic, if we want to be real examples of the cross.Christ was blamed for hanging out with "sinners" people like you and me to have a profound difference in world. A professor said it well,we are all on the same playing field at the cross. If you are reading this and do not know about the Lord, one thing is certain he came for you. You might ask for what though? Life it is hard, unpredictable, and unsuspected things occur because of the corruption of sin. Sin separated us from God, but through Jesus Christ as out mediator we can have full connection with God. Accepting Jesus Christ is life changing and we can freedom from sin and live for truth, found in the bible. The Bible is the authoritative word from God given to us to his will. Wow God is drawing us to him. He , in God of the universe wants to have a relationship with you. Think about it the one who created us wants a thriving time with you. Allow God to have his way in your life. He smiles and looks you into his eyes too calling you his child and we have the right to call him father, abba father.

Morning before the storm

Today , being Monday morning, started tired and very out of it. The bright side is the thunderstorm rumbling and promise of summer on the horizon the week could not start better. This summer has many promises and set priorities that will be life changing and the regular for my life. One will be the internship that will take place, for my major Pastoral Ministry,  at Christian Chapel Assembly of God. I am looking forward to what it holds and the opportunities that will come out of it. An other opportunity will be my job. I am a pool cleaner with that job comes many detailed things that take place. Making sure the chemicals are correct, turning off the hose,so the pool will not overflow, and long hours in the beating sun. It pays well;nevertheless, I will keep it. The promises is spending time with family, hours at the beach , and long hours in gym. So until then school is still in secession and life is on go!

lifting techniques / ministry

Working out or going to the gym consist of a lot of things to be on target for getting into shape. I have 6 years experience along with research and other colleagues that have given advice along the way. First thing whether a beginner or a 10 year veteran, form is key when benching, curling, or squatting. To many guys go in in ready to over lift and make a full of themselves not able to finish the set. Lifting what light is good to build the proper form. A foundation has to be set before muscle mass or tone is going to be developed. Second thing is technique is the movement of the motion in the process of exercising. Starting off with the right technique will the world of difference in the long run. When it comes time to move up in weight nothing will be compromised , like pulled muscles, torn ligaments , and correct form patterns. When a form and technique is developed not a sense of accomplishment happens , but people will ask benching weight and how to lift for themselves. I have been asked to train over 20 people on campus and after a few secessions something clicks and they realize they can do it themselves. This past fall semester I had three people that went to the gym with me. Sure they could come , yet I spent more time working with them and really had no time for myself. I had to have my personal time lifting and working out so I could further myself to be a better benefit for the people that went with me 3 times a week. Ministry is like this. We need to train people in the right form and technique and still have personal time to be strengthened ourselves. The better we train and are fit for the mission at task , so will our people we lead.

Daniel R.Schafer President: Crisis Intervention Intl. LLC

47 years of ministry! John7:17-18 trust the Lord to open doors. Let God bring the promotion. Proverbs 18 and Psalms 75:6-7. Racers Sunday on Easter Sunday hosting a car show. Car show and breakfast with car guys and pray for them. Invocation for Dover pray before race. He brings up the name of Jesus. He considerers it a great honor to pray for the nascar race. He had breakfast with Dale Earn-hart the week before he died. He does photography for the racing scene and when a fatal answer accident happened he asked the owners of the track to be their chaplain. He takes 3000-5000 prayer request from unsaved people a race awesome! He has a red white and blue service inviting service men and first responders and police prays for them and feeds them breakfast. He also does the blessings of the bikes! He has a breakfast and has the bikers come in the service , for safe riding. 9/11 on his way to a AG ministers meeting called his chief went into NYC to be there for the people for the port authority. He has 50 pastors on staff in New Jersey for tragic emergencies. He had to manage to the chaplains to help people with the sights of death and smell of decay. He had to have a police car to get around the city so he can commute to the different locations he had to visit. Had to call in every two to check in. God really moved. The Holy Spirit came upon the twin towers site with his arms wrapped around them. Thank Jesus! He was there for the last two whole bodies an pray over the body in April 11, 2002 God had him at the right place at the right times. September 11 , 2001 he has something called ministers of presence to bring finality they are dead. It cannot be fixed and never have closure so they mentor people lives they will never be the same. People will not remember words but remember your presence. What can I do for you? I am here for you! Ministry of presence you dont touch people until you touch people. He has a hard time with training preachers to just shut their mouth and let the people vent. Tell the truth at funerals with believers and unbelievers he evangelizes at funerals you have to say the right thing and tell the truth. People want to feel worth and importance. Stress level for police, firemen, and ambulance is tough. There has to be a way to relieve and emotionally vomit the things held in. Shootouts sit down with cops and help them to process what they saw. Words are more powerful than a gun. He has done a lot of school consoling. He dedicates signs of fatal accidents to pose warning. He dumps on Stephanie Samuel's to let go of the things he sees. In the schools deals with suicides. Stay out of trouble. Training in Penn-del.

Titus

Titus one of Paul's young ministers and missionary assisted. Titus a gentile went with Paul, God called by God, help deliver letters and like timothy given the responsibility of training leaders to be established in the local Church of Crete and Dalmatia. Titus went to Corinth with the letters Paul wrote to this Church. He also traveled and served in Ephesus too alongside Barnabas and Paul. The Jews wanted Titus to be circumcised Paul refused to let him go through this. The letter written was during 66-67 A.D. Titus was given a description of the type leaders to be put in place of the local church. Titus had and Timothy both has similar letters and are gentiles preparing lay leaders in the Church. Titus, Paul writes in the beginning of the first chapter that he is like a son to him in the faith. It is pretty cool to think that Paul would give a recommendation to the body about Titus. This shows the faith and heart and worth of Titus to Paul. As a young man of God Titus must have proved himself strong in the faith bearing a name like this, as a son in the faith. The task of serving with Paul was big. Paul demanded a lot when working and proclaiming the message of Jesus. Paul did not want weak faith people working with him. In the book of Acts, John Mark gets kicked off the first missionary trip. Paul played no games. Later though Paul wants John Mark back and writes he is of great use to him and his ministry. Paul took Titus on his third mission to Crete and kept him in for use. Titus had an experience with God that kept him through the course of ministry. God used Titus and took his experience with Christ and kept passionately pursuing him.

Tonights guest is Jason Lamer the youth alive director of the Penn-del district hosted by peter good

He did not go to the Superbowl this year. He is a steelers fan and is recovering from there lost. He is a middle schooler son and two younger ones. Group up in south central PA in a pastors home. Came to know the LORD at a young age. Serving God is all he knows. Has a great heritage and learned from his parents to have a servants heart. He went to do ministry finding a need and served. Ministry was not a job , but he is. His dad had two jobs for 8 years and also pastored. So he had to work and pastor at the same time. All his conversations go back to talking about ministry. He says ministry is fun to him. His calling came when around 13 years old at Church and went to the altar told God he will give him everything and Baptize in the Holy Spirit. He started preaching at age 13 and his son preached three times at the age of 12. He loves sports. He married an athlete a field hockey player. He traveled during his senior year and preached to youth. The LORD has blessed him and put himself through college and worked through college. He has an pastoral ministry degree. Minor in evangelism and led worshipped at a church. Ministered Jesus with the homeless at the park. His dorm would do ministry together. Got married at age 19 third year of college and was on staff at church and went to community college. Lived off college. Church pays him to be a youth pastor. Wife got a job as an office manager. He and his wife had no money and followed Gods call it was romantic which means to lay it all down. He knew that is where God wanted him. In Minneapolis. God provides him a job as a parking lot supervisor. Graduated at age 21. Moved to union town PA in 1999. Then became a youth alive director. He saw God work in his teens life and see them serve in college and follow the LORD. His youth group grew to 110 kids and told them to bring their friends to youth. His teens did a lot of mission work on school campus. Did a big night once a quarter. Disciple students and build up to big nights. The Church was heavy on outreach. He loves to evangelize. Ministry is not behind the pulpit and not when we have an audience. They wanted to find where are the students and naturally the schools. As a youth pastor they would pick kids up at school. Created a place where kids would want to hang out. They did not say we wish we could have that , but did what they could with they had. They picked up students from 4 campus. Miracles and God divine plan. Unless the LORD build the house its a waste of time. He started to build relationships with everyone in town. He just introduced himself.Every relationship turned into a opportunity. Its all about relationship. Every relationships turns into an opportunity. 9 11 he brought an a. Get a prayer habit don't wait for the presence wait in the presence. God has divinely led Jason and his wife and his family everywhere he is called to go as a Youth Alive Director.

John ratz second guest speaker. Small group specialist.

1. Love God
2. Love People
3. Spiritual formation( Growth)
4. Spiritual missions( Gettings others to follow)
Round table method.

John Ratz second guest speaker. Small group specialist.

What makes a good team?.Answer. A great guy to develop small groups and discipleship group. Grew up in pastor home and lived in hong kong. Loves Chinese food. Went to Syracuse his dad got his masters there. Then moved to kenya africa for four years. Then lived in Canada. The shortest trip was 634 miles. His dad is a missionary. Western Canada attended Bible college. All the moves he has made was a normal transition for him. He has friends all over north america. His toughest move was to Montreal , Canada. It was a french speaking culture. The french is catholic about 97% of the population. Ends up going into the ministry at bright moor cathedral with young married couples and technical staff in 1993. This church was new on the curve with technology and it was a created position. Better to have people sitting in circles then rows and not at the back of heads. The groups teach how to apply scripture to life. The church prior had tried twice , but they failed. The senior pastor was for it. It is a timing thing. He was to put up or shut up. Spent a year preparing for the groups to go into session. He had 120 people on a Friday night to talk about what the groups entailed. They figured if the vision strategy was good they would come out for a Saturday for more info. The people that came were the only ones allowed to be in the groups and for 8 weeks taught them how to do it. After that they told them to find a host home and start people coming to theirs. In five years they had 60% of the Church of 1200 in small groups and knew all the people in the group. Took specific times to see who was in the small groups. Model was inductive Bible studies. They met on Thursday and Sunday nights. He had training hours on Saturdays for two hours how to ask question for their groups. What is the writer saying saying to the audience and what is he saying to us now.If you can get through these question you can lead any groups. The hard part was help fine tuning people to know vision clearly. He learn that he needed coaches to help supervise and teach them. THis was pure small groups inducted at someones home. He never used pastor sermon for topic to teach on at small group. When doing the Bs attitude they did not like that they had one verse. At the end of one month no ran out of time with one Bs attitude. Bensalem he only was hired to handle small groups. If you want to make a call call in the first 24 hours of Monday. A basic phone and prayer and glad you are with us call. If you are new come up after service and get a 5 dollar gift card if new. CLC first day call all leaders. Forty groups there already. A bunch of the leaders did not go to the Church. No common vision or instruction or investing with training the people. In someways it was worst then starting groups because of the lack of vision. Free marketing small groups. Groups are about discipleship and growth. Free market small group is a group of people with common interest would meet together and do there thing. There was no real Bible study , but relationship with people. No real depth to this technique of biblical growth. Neighborhood small group. A group everyone can walk to. Understand culture of the church you are going into. Every church is different. Discipleship has to be one on one. Example is a trainer in the gym with a new client get them on a plan. Teach people to become self feeders. Start off with 8-12 then go to a group of 4-7. Then to 3-4 to hold accountability. Then one on one for mentoring. This will help the believer become a self feeder of the Bible and relationship with God. This what small group ministry is all about. Walking Gods children to a close relationship with him.

Pastor Bob Novak church planter with a thriving young church. from Springfield, PA. 01/18/11 pastorbob@/cfconnect.com

Tonight we had Pastor Bob Novak in from Springfield, Pa. He like Nebraska Cornhuskers for college football and Philly Eagles for pro. The night started off casually with a bit of football talk. The call of God led him here to Pa. His reason for coming out to PA he had a church in Michigan with nights of prayer and fasting. He started having dreams to come to a area. He went to New Jersey for church planting he did not have a good feeling it. So one day he got a letter from Rich Wilkerson and opened and felt a burden to pray for Philadelphia. His wife agreed to go and they went. He planted a church and received a fund that supported him as a missionary to plant a church. Life Christian fellowship in 1993. He has been the lead Pastor for 17 years. He is in a religious community. A catholic community in the midst of what he delt with. He did have a launch team. His family was his launch team. He did kids ministries and had a hard time getting a core group together. He says God will did great things if you dont give up. The first two years were difficult. The family of a small core was amazing for his strength of relationship building with the people. He started to meet at a school gymnasium. It was a challenge him to meet at a local school. He did want to come off pushy to get into a building. For worship he is musically inclined. With vfcc he got a student to help/ Outreaches real wins the greatest success he has had individuals that come meet Jesus in an awesome way and they brought the people to the church. WeServant hood evangelism also worked out. Like offering to fill up the community cars with windshield wiper fluid. Raking leaves doing the kind acts to show Christ love.Invite cards and pens. Christmas is big and Thanksgiving card invites. An outreach that flopped and was stupid. the moon bounce they borrowed broke. Things that helped as a Church to grow. Superbowl in carry. Can good give aways and invite the community to jion raising food for people in need and in return opportunity to talk with people about Church and God. They have a preschool a lot of work but a good tool. Praying with people and help needs and serving them. He has a chapel service once a week. Kids connect with God spiritually. Senior citizen Bible study. A 19 year old started it. Phone call with the kid and he mentors him to work with him and educated him how to answer questions about heaven and hell. A lot of africans live in Philly from war torn nations. Civil wars in african nations have terrible mutilations and rape. His Church supports a Church there to help them with serious problems. Church is different in african. African churches work different they make sure everyone comes to church and will look for people. The church is very cross cultural. Americans are very direct and africans are not direct. If they need something they give there need as information. respect issues are different too for the africans and they are. They are opening up a regimen and have a recording studio and have Bible studies and place to connect the gospel with local people in the community with the youth. Internships invest into there lives instead of then to staff something. A project with vision strategy and team work. Exposing leadership development 7 cores of team work and personality test are taken to see how people are wired to fit them in things to see them succeed.Try to expose the family life of Church. The summer inter is from may to august. With roof over there head and 300 a week for spending. They select interns and can contact them by there website. Discipleship is a culture not a convert class. a relationship with people who has a strong relationship with someone who just got saved and say follow me. The church is involved with many ministries and some are discipled and very family oriented. With a Church plant the context shapes the ministry. The area plays a big percentage. It is a catholic traditional oriented community. Vision for leaders to be culturally relevant and every church is different. Sunday nights consist of worship and pray and leadership building. He has the youngest church in the community. Church structure unique styles in starting churches. They are engaged in missions. Church planters bootcamp. Sectional church plant sectional presbyters Pastor Bob is a presbyter. They are a board that whats you to succeed. Parent affiliated church. This means a church will multiply in different locations but one church. The most exciting to start a Church. The stories of the peoples lives who has been changed. one person says the word of God came alive in me. They have a old parsonage that houses life groups, parties, they also house their interns there. He helps people with drugs recovery too. God loves his us and our children. So he will prepare us for the journey of church planting.
we are our worst enemy. His strength and personality he gets energized by read and being quiet. he was committed to getting meshed with the people. Just listen to people and love them they need that. c

My life story and when Jesus saved the day.

My life story is not that complicated and has been a journey for the most part from the day I got saved to now. I grew up in the Church and my parents are pastors, so I have been in a lot of services through the years and a couple different Churches. Ever since I was young I have vivid memories of Sunday night worship and altar calls. The Holy Spirit definitely introduced himself to me at a young age. Feeling his anointing and presence is some of my early memories. God at starting convicting me when I was 9 and 12 years old to follow him and really make him my savior. I started reading my Bible and from all the Sunday school classes his word is deep in my heart. During my middle school experience I slipped away from following Jesus and wanted to be part of the crowd and be noticed. Drinking was not an issue only once. Also most of the people I hung out with would keep me away from smoking and stuff they did. That was God keeping me clean of that type of a party lifestyle. At the age of 14 life seemed dead and I knew Jesus had to set me free. During the summer I felt like a war was happening inside of me. One Sunday in July would be the turning point that changed my life and only Jesus could only be that turning point. We had a guest speaker, not that it made a difference if I was going to get saved, so as the morning was taking place the wild emotions that I felt like I could not control was taken away. I needed repentance and no sooner as the speaker gave the altar call I flew up as fast as I could. With many tears and my youth pastor behind me God set me free. A release in my spirit took place and peace entered. The rest of the day I spent quiet and pondering what took place. Later that in the month God asked me if I would surrender all of me. I gave my life to God and he set me free, but he wanted me to give my whole life to his service. I said yes to him and never looked back. From that time on my walk with God has increased. Flourishing would be the better term. I love God with all my heart, soul, mind , and strength. Nothing could stop me in my pursuit of giving him my all. Such a peace I have found. He is always there. I love God!

the first day

Coming into class tonight I was not expecting a free copy of Ed Young's, " The Creative Leader". What a steal. I have seen this book and debated on buying it, but patience is virtue, I have it now. The upside is I have to write a book report and talk 8-10 minute presentation on it. Not bad for a traditional textbook that does not seem that relevant for college students to read. I guess someone would have to recognize Ed Young to be excited. I got to see him preach two summers ago and man I left challenged. I love the local Church , but he put the heat up for the local Church going. We a ll need that heat. Jesus came to set us free from the law , and in the book of Galatians Paul the writer gets upset with the Church because of they were  going back to their old ways and got stuck and did not stand firm in the Lord. So I am definitely looking forward to this read. This class seems to be really helpful and constructive for going into the ministry.
